HERTFORD EAST RAILWAY STATION
'Hertford East railway station' is one of two stations in Hertford in Hertfordshire, England. The station is 39 km (24¼ miles) north of London Liverpool Street. It is fifteen minutes' walk from Hertford North station.
The current station, which was designed by W.N. Ashbee was opened by the Great Eastern Railway on Monday 27th February 1888, replacing a station further to the east which dated from the opening of the branch line from Broxbourne in 1843.
It is on the Hertford East branch of the West Anglia Main Line, and train services are provided by 'one'. There are two platforms, one of which is generally only used at peak times.
