HERVé (COMPOSER)
'Hervé', real name 'Florimond Ronger', (June 30, 1825 in Houdain near Arras - November 4, 1892 in Paris) was a French composer.
Hervé served an organist and a stage vocalist, before he became Kapellmeister of the Théâtre du Palais Royal in 1851. He was a founder of a new era of French operettas. Through his "Folies concertantes", a theater stage he took over in 1854 and for which he wrote many works, he became the forerunner of the "Bouffes-Parisiennes" of Jacques Offenbach and the flowering of parody music that followed them both.
