'Hickory Hill' is the former McLean, Virginia home of Senator and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy. Hickory Hill at one time belonged to President John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline. After Mrs. Kennedy had a miscarriage, they sold the house to John's brother Robert Kennedy. The house is currently for sale.
Before its purchase by John Kennedy, Hickory Hill was the home of Robert Jackson, Attorney General under President Frankiln Roosevelt. During the Civil War Hickory Hill was the military headquarters of General George McClellan.
