HOLLYWOOD, NEW MEXICO

'Hollywood' is a small village near Ruidoso, in Lincoln County, New Mexico, USA and is part of the Lincoln National Forest. The population is pooled into a micropolitan population with Ruidoso.
A small community located on U.S. Route 70, just East of Ruidoso. First postmaster was George A. Freidenbloom. The town was originally named after Hollywood, Florida. The city lies under jurisdiction of Ruidoso. A post office (established 1926) as well as several homes and a few major hotels and retail outlets are what make up the city of Hollywood, New Mexico. The population is undeterminable as it makes up a variable of Ruidoso, and a small portion of Ruidoso Downs population. Notable source of town's history can be located on many ghost town websites.
