HOPE (DERBYSHIRE) RAILWAY STATION

'Hope railway station' () serves the villages of Hope and Brough in the Derbyshire Peak District of England.
The station lies between the two villages, around 1 km east of Hope, and also serves Bradwell and Castleton, the latter being a notable tourist spot, famous for its caverns and the gemstone called Blue John.
It was opened in 1894 on the Midland Railway's Dore and Chinley line (now known as the Hope Valley Line).
Just west of Hope the line passes between Win Hill (1523 feet) and Lose Hill (1563 feet).
