In 2000, he appeared in an episode of ''ChuckleVision'' called "Out for the Count", which included several references to his time in ''Knightmare''. He appeared in an edition of ''Dick and Dom in da Bungalow'', but was locked in a cage for the entire production, only speaking at the end of the show with his ''Knightmare'' catchphrase "Oooh, nasty!" He has also appeared in a crime reconstruction on ''Crimewatch''.
He has provided voices for the computer games ''Black and White'' and ''Magic Carpet 2: The Netherworlds'', the ''Doctor Who'' audio dramas ''Omega'', '', '' and '' (part of the ''Gallifrey'' audio series); and for the ''Sapphire & Steel'' audio drama ''The Passenger''. In his spare time he enjoys motorcycling and sailing. His burning ambition is to one day play Captain Haddock, a character from ''The Adventures of Tintin'' whom he resembles.
