IE 8510 CLASS

The 8510 class is an electrical multiple unit (EMU) used by the Irish railway operator, Iarnrod Eireann. It is a four piece unit, of which they are three. Vehicles are numbered in the sequence 861X+851X+851Y+861Y. They first entered service in 2002[1], and are used on the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) system, which operates between Greystones and Malahide/Howth. The units have operated in multiple with all other DART classes. The units are maintained at Fairview depot.
