JACOB SURJAN
'Jacob Surjan' (born August 15, 1985 in Australia) is an Australian Rules Footballer and current player of the Port Adelaide Football Club.
Jacob began his football career for South Coogee Football Club in Sydney, New South Wales at the age of 13, and later continued his career in the WAFL playing for South Fremantle.
He was recruited by Port Adelaide from South Fremantle as Port's number 10 selection in the 2004 AFL Pre-season Draft.
The hard chasing, strong tackling midfielder and small defender was nominated for the AFL Rising Star award in 2006 for his 26-disposal game from half-back against Hawthorn in Round 11. [1]
In his 15 games in Season 2006, he averaged 14 disposals and won an above average 36% of those in a contest. [2]
As of Round 21 of the 2007 AFL Season, Jacob has had a total of 345 disposals.
