JAKE PORTER
'Jake Porter' is an American high school football player from McDermott, Ohio, who attended Northwest High School. He has a mental disorder which prevented him from playing football.
During one game, when the Mohawks were down 42-0 against the Waverly Tigers, the Tigers agreed to let him into the game. Northwest coach Dave Frantz wanted him to take a knee, but Waverly's coach insisted that he score. Jake ran 40 yards for a touchdown. Afterwards he was featured on ''The Today Show'' and ''SportsCenter'' , received an ESPY Award, had a song written about him by country star Keith Anderson, and was featured on the CMT program ''Unsung Stories'' .
