JAMES WESLEY RAWLES

'James Wesley Rawles' (born 1960) is a non-fiction author, survivalist-fiction author, and blogger. Rawles was born in Livermore, California. He was a United States Army Military Intelligence officer, serving for six years before resigning his commission. He later worked as an Associate Editor with Defense Electronics magazine, and as a technical writer. He is now a freelance writer and blogger. He is the editor of SurvivalBlog and SurvivalRealty.com.
He is married and has three children.
Rawles is also a pioneering author of numerous Internet FAQs, primarily on firearms topics. The first of these FAQs was posted to the Internet in 1994, as an outgrowth of his Usenet posts.
Although his first novel had been in print for eight years (as of July 13, 2007), it still had an Amazon.com sales ranking of #12,211, and it had 128 reviews with a 4.5 star average rating.
