'James William Forbes Redmond' (born 24 November 1971 in London, England) is a British actor. He currently lives in Bristol although recently divorced from his now ex-wife Yvette.
James' rise to fame began when he started modelling in April 1994, after being spotted in Milan by fashion scout Calvin Klein. After a number of years on the catwalk, James gave up modelling and decided to pursue a career on the small screen. Following a string of commercials, he signed up for acting lessons and, almost immediately, was offered a part in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
A failed stint of presenting on ITV’s SMTV Live was followed by a role in Sky One's steamy drama, ''Mile High''. He is now noted for his current role as John ‘Abs’ Denham in the BBC One medical drama ''Casualty''.
