JAROCHO
'Jarocho' is an old Spanish language word which meant "brusk" or "disordered", and which evolved in Mexico to become a term for a person, item or music from the state or city of Veracruz, Mexico.
''Jarochos'', the plural word, is often used to describe wandering bands of minstrel musicians, operating similar to ''mariachis'', who dress and play in the Veracruz style. ''Jarochos'' are visually distinguished from ''mariachis'' by their traditional white suits and white cowboy hats.
The music played by ''jarochos'' is known as ''Son Jarocho''.
