JAY PURVIS

'Jay Purvis' is a former model and television host. Purvis is a co-host of ''Kitchen Equipped'', which can be seen on Food Network Canada and HGTV.
He was born in Toronto in 1976 but his family moved to England when he was a young child. Growing up in Brighton, England, Purvis worked there in the building renovation and carpentry world. At the young age of 20, he hung up his tools for the catwalk. After giving up modelling, Purvis re-located back to Canada, where he has since continued to frame houses in Canada.
The ''Kitchen Equipped's resident carpenter's looks are compared to ''American Idol'' host Ryan Seacrest. He is also compared to English chef Jamie Oliver due to his use of Brighton slang.
