JILL BALCON
'Jill Balcon' (born 3 January, 1925) is a British actress.
The daughter of Michael Balcon and Aileen Freda Leatherman, she was born in London, educated at Roedean, and made her film debut in ''Nicholas Nickleby'' (1947). Over the years she has appeared regularly, though not extensively, on screen.
In 1951, she married 'Nicholas Blake', better known as the poet Cecil Day-Lewis. They had two children: Oscar winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis and documentary filmmaker Tamasin Day-Lewis.
