JIMéNEZ CANTON
'Jiménez' is the name of the fourth canton in the province of Cartago in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 286.43 km²[1], and has a population of 14,934[2]. The capital city of the canton is Juan Viñas.
The Río Turrialba forms the northern boundary of the canton of Jiménez, with the Río Reventazón and Río Atirro establishing the eastern border and the Río Pejibaye delineating a major portion of the canton´s border on the west.
The canton of Jiménez is subdivided into 3 distritos (districts).
