JIM CASH
'Jim Cash' (17 January 1941 – 25 March 2000) was a film writer. He was born in Boyne City, Michigan, USA), and later lived in Grand Rapids. He received a B.A. in English from Michigan State University (MSU) in 1970, followed by a M.A. in Television and Radio in 1972; he also taught writing and film history. Cash met a student there, Jack Epps, Jr. from the Detroit area, who would later become his writing partner.
They began their writing relationship while MSU students and wrote their first story together in the MSU Union Grill in 1975. Soon afterwards Epps moved to Hollywood. Cash continued to lived in East Lansing, Michigan, while Epps live in Santa Monica, California. They collaborated by computer across country. Today Jack Epps lives with his family in Santa Monica, California, where he continues to write for film and television, and teaches at the USC Film School.
