JOHN TURNER (ARCHITECT)

John Turner was an English architect, noted for his ecclesiastical buildings.
John Turner was born in Holborn, London in 1806[1] and married Fanny Louise Carter (1807-1884) in 1839[2] . He had two children, John Goldicutt (1841-1892) and Joseph Edward (1842-1898) both of whom died without issue. John Turner died in 1890.[3]
He actively practised as an architect and surveyor in London between 1830 and 1868.[4] before retiring to Rickinghall, Suffolk where he acted as a district surveyor.[5]
A memoir of his life was written by his son, John Goldicutt Turner[6]
