 | The John Coltrane/Miles Davis Tribute Album Excerpts from Matt Smith's critically praised 2004 debut album. Matt Smith Quartet, Cristian Soleanu, George Dumitriu, Vlaicu Golcea. Matt Smith recorded these tracks early July 2004, in Bucharest, Romania. He was 14 years old. Matt had already formed his own jazz group at the Green Hours Club, Romania's most famous jazz venue, and performed his debut at age 12 on Romanian National Television. Matt started listening to John Coltrane and Miles Davis seriously just before studying with his percussion mentor, the celebrated Bucharest set player Vlad Popescu. When given the opportunity to record, Matt wanted to use the late Coltrane period to explore the drumming of Elvin Jones and especially Rashied Ali. In early 2005, Ali heard Matt's version of Expression and was impressed enough to call him. A friendly association soon developed that took hold during Matt's time in Flint, Michigan. |

The R-rated film had its premiere on August 27, 2008 when it opened the 2008 Venice Film Festival. According to the Coens the plot will focus on the world of the CIA, physical fitness in Washington, D.C., and internet dating. The film is the brothers' first since the Academy Award winning No Country For Old Men and has been described by Tilda Swinton as "...a kind of monster caper movie. All of us are monsters - like, true monsters. It's ridiculous. It's much lighter than No Country for Old Men." Burn After Reading Plot Osbourne Cox (John Malkovich) is a CIA analyst who quits his job at the CIA after being demoted because of his drinking problem. He then decides to write a memoir about his life in the CIA. His wife, Katie Cox (Tilda Swinton), wants to divorce Osbourne and, at the counsel of her divorce lawyer, she copies all his personal financial files off his computer along with his work-in-progress memoirs. This disk eventually finds its way to Hardbodies, a workout gym. Chad Feldheimer (Brad Pitt), who works at the gym, finds the disc and intends to blackmail Cox with his former employee Linda Litzke (Frances McDormand). George Clooney appears as Treasury agent Harry Pfarrer who is sleeping with Katie, Osbourne's wife.
