JOHN MCENTIRE

'John McEntire' (born April 9, 1970 in Portland, Oregon) is an American drummer and multi-instrumentalist. He is a member of post-rock outfits like Gastr Del Sol, Tortoise, and The Sea and Cake, and affiliated with several other bands such as Bastro, Stereolab, and Trans Am.
He is the owner of the Soma Electronic Music Studios in Chicago. McEntire is a graduate of Oberlin College located in Oberlin, Ohio. [1] John is an accomplished producer and engineer having mixed and remixed countless recordings by many artists. [2]
Recently, McEntire contributed to the Bright Eyes record, Cassadaga.
John mixed the debut album Law for the emergency rock group Cougar.
