JOSEPH MILLSON

'Joseph Millson' is an English theatre and television actor, born in Berkshire in 1974.
In 2006 he appeared in the Royal Shakespeare Company's Complete Works Festival as Benedick in 'Much Ado About Nothing' (opposite Tamsin Greig) and Bastard in 'King John', both excellent performances with glowing reviews. "I have seen actors from Alan Bates to Matthew Macfadyen play Shakespeare’s Benedick, but Joseph Millson’s performance in the new RSC production strikes me as definitive. Handsome in voice and in person, he can carry the audience on his roar and draw it into his hush. The elements of wit, anger and vulnerability are thrillingly mixed in this actor", said one ''Financial Times'' critic in May 2006.
Other theatre appearances include the Spanish Golden Age Season at the RSC in 2004; 'As You Like It' with the Peter Hall Company, Bath; 'The Lifted Veil' (one man show) and 'Pillars of the Community' at the National.
Millson has also appeared in many TV programmes, including his role as Dr. Sam Morgan over five series of 'Peak Practice'. He also had a regular role in 'EastEnders' as Jason James, the ex-fiancee of Liz Slater. Other television appearances include roles in 'Macbeth' (as Billy), 'The Romantics' (as Lord Byron), 'Holby City' and 'Doctors'. In 2007 he additionally starred in two high-profile limited-run dramas. On the teen-targeted ''The Sarah Jane Adventures'' he enoyed a recurring co-starring role as the father of one of the main characters. Meanwhile, he was one of the three main stars of the adult drama, ''Talk To Me''.
Milson also played Carter in the recent Bond film ''Casino Royale'' (2006), starring Daniel Craig.
