JOYCE CHENG

Lydia Shum, Joyce Cheng, and Adam Cheng

'Joyce Cheng Yan-yee' (, born on May 30, 1987) is the daughter of famous Hong Kong television stars Adam Cheng Siu-chow and Lydia Shum Din-ha.
For most of her childhood, Joyce has gained huge media exposure due to her mother, who was a prominent actress and comedian of the 1980s and 1990s. Joyce showed interest in show business during her teenage years, when she was 15 she performed Britney Spears' ''Oops!... I did it again'', in a Hong Kong charity TV program.
Joyce spent much of her childhood in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she attended Crofton House School. She decided to take a break from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, because she decided to pursue a music and acting career in Asia.
Over the past four years Joyce has been the focus of a variety of media articles because of her struggles with weight. Determined to overcome her weight issues, Joyce started a strict fitness regime. Her fitness program was recorded in her book, 'My Weight Loss Diary'.
On 2005-09-11, Cheng played the part of Snow White in the Hong Kong Disneyland Opening Ceremony.
On 2006-10-06, which was that year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Cheng had her first music video ''Kao Zi Ji'' (literally ''Depend on Myself'') first aired in a TVB prime time show called ''Scoop'' at 7:30pm.
Joyce just finished performing on the popular Chinese Opera, 'The Grand Stage'. (February 2007)
Joyce Cheng is currently working on her debut album, produced by Liu Jia Chang, which hopes to be released before summer 2008.
