JUDAS 0

'''Judas Ø''' is a collection of B-sides and rarities by the Smashing Pumpkins. It was packaged as a bonus disc in a limited-edition printing of ''Rotten Apples'', their greatest hits collection. The songs are largely from the ''Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'', ''Adore'', and ''Machina/The Machines of God'' recording sessions, and some tracks can be found on ''The Aeroplane Flies High'', and ''Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music''. ''Judas Ø'' is considered the sister album to ''Pisces Iscariot'', a collection of B-sides and rarities from the ''Gish'' and ''Siamese Dream'' eras. Music critic Jim DeRogatis commented that ''Judas Ø'' is "superior to the rarities collection ''Pisces Iscariot'' because it reflects the tremendous musical and lyrical growth of the group from ''Adore'' through its untimely demise."[1]

Notes

★ "Saturnine" and "Here's to the Atom Bomb" are different versions of the songs of the same name on ''Machina II/The Friends and Enemies of Modern Music''.

★ "Lucky 13" and "Slow Dawn" are the same versions as on ''Machina II'', though it is notable that the songs on this release aren't sourced from vinyl''.

★ "The Aeroplane Flies High", "Believe". "Marquis in Spades" and "Set the Ray to Jerry" were previously released on ''The Aeroplane Flies High'' box set. "The Aeroplane Flies High" song notably lacks the last verse that is present on previous releases, and is almost a minute shorter.

★ "Blissed and Gone" was previously released on the promotional EP ''Still Becoming Apart'' packaged with early releases of ''Machina/The Machines of God''.

★ "Waiting" was previously released on the promotional EP ''Machina/Machines of God''.
