'Kamaritsa' (Greek: Καμαρίτσα) is a Greek settlement located around 8 km (old: 7 km) south-southeast of Megalopoli, 3 km ESE from the nearest interchange with the GR-7/E65 (Kalamata - Megalopoli - Tripoli), about 53 km (old: 51 km) northeast of Kalamata, north of Leontari and about 42 km (old: 43 km) west-southwest of Tripoli. Kamaritsa is also in the municipal district of Leontari and the municipality of Megalopoli. Kamaritsa is connected with a road linking the Leontari-Sparta Road near the GR-7 and Routsi.

Geography


Kamaritsa is situated in a valley area, the Alpheus flows to the north with a tributary 1.5 km to the northwest. The geography consists of farmlands covering the central, and sporadically in the northern and the southern parts, the remainder of the land are forested that covers around one-third of the land, the hills dominate the southwestern part.The mountains which include the Lykaio can be seen to the west and east along with parts of Megalopoli, the mine and its power plant.
