KELSO, NEW SOUTH WALES

'Kelso' is a suburb of Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, in the Bathurst Regional Council area. It is the original European settlement in the area. It is on the eastern banks of the Macquarie River and the first farmers moved to grants here in 1816.

Holy Trinity Church

The Secondary school in Kelso was opened in 1976 in demountable classrooms at Gormans Hill (Bathurst). The school moved to its present site in 1978 and remains open to this day despite a fire that totally destroyed the school in August of 2005. The school is currently housed in demountable buildings, while a new school is being built, which is due to be completed in 2008.
