'Kenny Wharton' (born 28 November 1960 in Newcastle upon Tyne) is an English former professional football player. He played as both a left-back and a midfielder.
Wharton started his career with his hometown club Newcastle United and played there for over ten years in between 1978 and 1989, amassing 335 appearances for the club. In 1989 he was transferred to Carlisle United.
Since retiring from football, Wharton has worked at youth academies at Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
