KENTHURST, NEW SOUTH WALES

'Kenthurst' is a semi-rural suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.
It is located in the Hills District of NSW and has its own cricket club, soccer club, and village green. Blocks of land are an average of 5 acres.
Kenthurst is arguably the largest suburb in the Sydney metropolitan area. it can easily be divided into three main areas: South (Annangrove road), East (Kenthurst road) and North (Pitt Town and Porters road).
Originally known as Little Dooral. However in 1886 the government changed the name to Kenthurst. Kenthurst is derived from the English County of Kent and 'hurst' meaning a woody hillock or clearing. [1]
Local celebrity couple, Bec and Lleyton Hewitt moved there in 2006 [2]. Gwen Steffani visited Kenthurst during a playdate with Bec and Lleyton Hewitt's children in 2007.
