'Kewet' is an battery electric vehicle currently manufactured by ElbilNorge AS in Oslo, Norway.
The car seats three, has a range of typically 50 to 80 km (~31 to 50 mi) between charges (150 km/~93 mi with Li-Ion), with a top speed of 80 km/h (~49.7 MPH), and features a 1.6 KW electric heater or an optional parafin heater. The chassis is made of galvanized steel and the shell is made of GRP. At the present time, it is only being offered for sale in Norway.
The ''Kewet'' was originally developed and produced in Hadsund, Denmark, in the period 1991 to 1995. Production moved to Nordhausen, Germany, for a while, but there were problems, and it was later relocated back to Hadsund. Production rights were then acquired by ''Kollega Bil'' in 1998. ''Kollega Bil'' later changed name to ''ElbilNorge AS''.
The ''Kewet'' brand is no longer in use. Since 2007 ElbilNorge AS has been producing its cars under the name ''Buddy''.
