KING'S FUND

The 'King's Fund' is a charitable foundation in England. Founded as the 'Prince of Wales Hospital Fund for London' in 1897, the fund changed its name in 1902 to 'King Edward's Hospital Fund' with the ascension to the throne of King Edward VII. In 1907 Parliament incorporated the fund as the King's Fund. The fund concerns itself with improving health and health care, with a particular focus on London.
The organisation carries out research, policy analysis and development activities, by working independently, in partnerships, and through funding. It also serves as a resource to people working within health, including the National Health Service, offering leadership development, seminars and workshops, an information and library service and conference facilities.
