KIRK BROADFOOT
'Kirk Broadfoot' (born August 8 1984 in Irvine) is a Scottish professional footballer. He currently plays for Scottish Premier League club Rangers.
Broadfoot formerly played at boys club level for Ayr Valspar with many young players who are now plying their trade mainly in the lower regions of Scottish football.
In December 2004 he was convicted of assault, and sentenced to 12 months' probation, 200 hours of community service and ordered to pay £750 in compensation.[1]
He was part of the St. Mirren team which gained promotion to the SPL for the 2006-07 season.
In November 2006, Broadfoot was called up to the Scotland B squad and played in the 0-0 draw with Republic of Ireland B.[2]
In March 2007, Broadfoot signed a pre-contract agreement to sign for Rangers in the summer [3]. Broadfoot made his Rangers debut against FK Zeta on the 31 July 2007, in a two to nil victory.
Broadfoot scored his first Rangers goal in a 7-2 victory against Falkirk in the Scottish Premier League.
