'Kodak EasyShare' is a sub brand of Eastman Kodak Company products identifying a consumer photography system of digital cameras, snapshot printers, printer docks, accessories , camera docks , software , and online print services. EasyShare was first introduced in 2001.

There are five sub-product camera lines, "series", that separate the cameras into different classes: EasyShare Point and Shoot (C series), EasyShare High Zoom (Z series), EasyShare Pocket (V series), EasyShare Performance (P series), and EasyShare-ONE (wi-fi capable). The original series of point-and-shoot EasyShare digital cameras were prefixed with "DX", the higher end 'pro-sumer' range, and the cheaper, more basic "CX" models, aimed at the point-and-shoot market.

Software

EasyShare Software is used to transfer and catalog images from Easyshare camera models and can also be used with existing images or non-KODAK cameras. It also serves as the print ordering and online album manager and has some limited photo enhancement capabilities.
The updater component of the software is powered by BackWeb, which, though usually suspect for its spyware associations, is said to be benign in this case.
In version 6 of EasyShare software, the Bonjour software component from Apple is installed for remote service discovery, but serves no useful purpose for older models; it can be removed using "Add & remove programs" without impeding functionality.
Version 6.2 was released in January 2007 which included support for Windows Vista.

Kodak EasyShare Gallery, formerly known as "Ofoto", is a leading online digital photo developing service. The kodakgallery.com site provides consumers with easy ways to view, store and share their photos and get real Kodak prints of their pictures. The site also provides free editing and creative tools and specialty photo products.
The Company was founded in July 1999 in Berkeley, California by a diverse group of Internet veterans united by passion for digital photography and frustration of being unable to get high-quality ("film-quality") prints from their digital cameras. They built their own digital photography lab and opened for business on December 13, 1999 with the launch of the Web site, www.ofoto.com. In June of 2001, Ofoto, Inc. became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company and in March 2005, they changed their company name to Kodak Imaging Network, Inc.
