KURILE LAKE

'Kurile Lake' () is a large caldera containing a crater lake located in the southern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It has an area of 77 km², an average depth of 176 m, and a maximum depth of 306 m. It the largest spawning ground for sockeye salmon in Eurasia (if not in the world).
