'Kurtinig (Cortina)' (Italian: ''Cortina sulla strada del vino''; German: ''Kurtinig an der Weinstraße''; Archaic (1276AD): ''Cortinegum'', also ''Cortinie'' or ''Curtinie''; Latin: ''Curtis'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 25 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 30 km southwest of the city of Bolzano ''(de. Bozen)''. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 606 and an area of 2.0 km².^[1]
Kurtinig (Cortina) borders the following municipalities: Margreid (Magrè), Neumarkt (Egna), and Salorno.
