 | Apevia X-Q AMD ATI 2600XT Lanparty Build This is a little PC build I threw together on the weekend. It's not intended for the hardcore gaming need, however it has the ability. Runs Crysis at High everything but objects, they're on medium. Anyway, components are: Apevia X-Q Case w/500Watt PSU AMD Athlon 64 X2 Black series 5000+ CPU Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H 690G Motherboard 2GB G.Skill DDR2 800Mhz Thermaltake Blueorb 2 CPU cooler HIS ATI Radeon 2600XT Seagate SATA2 7K ST3250310NS 250GB Philips DVD-RW 20X drive My first time using an ATI graphics card. Chose that because of Rodney Reynolds, I like his work and he speaks highly of ATI cards. So I thought I'ld give it a shot. I know I said Apevia QX at the beginning, my fault. Total cost includes rebates and shipping. I think it's pretty reasonable, I spend way over 2K for my earlier gaming rig build. It features two 8800GTX's and I thought that machine would kill Crysis. Well, they aren't able to keep up at 1680x1050 with AA on, so having a little $500 PC that runs it at near same performance is great. Sure it's not Very HIgh setting but you can enjoy it. Enjoy |
