'Edison University' is an unaccredited institution that is based from a mailing box at a Mail Boxes Etc.. It is run by Natalie Handy, wife of James Kirk. Kirk previously ran 'University of San Gabriel Valley', 'Southland University', and 'LaSalle University' (Louisiana). He served five years in federal prison for mail fraud relating to these diploma mills.[1]
According to John Bear, Kirk used tax exemption in Louisiana to get around laws.[1] His church, World Christian Church, claimed to be the owner the assets totaling $35 million in profits.
