LA PLAINE-DES-PALMISTES

'La Plaine-des-Palmistes' is a ''commune'' in the French overseas ''département'' of Réunion.
It lies in the eastern part of the island, on the RN3 road, south west of Saint-Benoît. It is known for its nearby forest and for the Biberon Falls.
In the 1999 census, La Plaine-des-Palmistes had a population of 3,433.
The communal territory is entirely located in the tops of the island. They are bordering Saint-Benoît cheese, Holy-Rose and the Plug.
