LATERINA

'Laterina' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Arezzo in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 km southeast of Florence and about 14 km northwest of Arezzo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,510 and an area of 24.0 km².^[1]
The municipality of Laterina contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ponticino, Casanuova, and Vitereta.
Laterina borders the following municipalities: Arezzo, Castiglion Fibocchi, Civitella in Val di Chiana, Pergine Valdarno, Terranuova Bracciolini.
