'Levédia' was an area settled by the
Magyars in the
9th century. It was located in the territory of present-day eastern
Ukraine. They moved to this area from
Magna Hungaria situated on the western side of the
Urals. Under pressure from the
Khazar-driven
Pechenegs, the Hungarians abandoned Levedia and moved further to the west, to the area known as
Etelköz.
