Lightning McQueen

'Lightning McQueen #95', typically referred to by his surname 'McQueen', and occasionally called "'Stickers'" by Sally, is the main character and is voiced by actor Owen Wilson. He is no real-world car in particular, but his overall profile was inspired by the Ford GT40. In the beginning of the film, Lightning McQueen, a racing rookie, is an arrogant, talkative car who is very selfish, especially towards his pit crew. He hopes to be the first rookie to win the Piston Cup race and gain a lucrative endorsement deal from Dinoco in the final race of the season, but finishes in a three-way tie with perennial runner-up Chick Hicks and veteran Strip Weathers "The King" after losing his huge lead on the final lap (#400) because of two blown tires.
En route to California for a tie-breaker race, McQueen gets thrown way off course and ends up off Route 66 in New Mexico. He finds himself in Radiator Springs, a nearly abandoned town which saw its livelihood largely destroyed by the construction of Interstate 40 decades ago. McQueen accidentally destroys the city's main road, and the townsfolk demand that he stay to repair it. Over the course of his time in Radiator Springs, he comes to form friendships with the residents of the town. He falls in love with Sally, the town's attorney who is originally from Los Angeles, and gains a deep respect and reverence for the town's judge and doctor, an ex-race car named Doc Hudson. These experiences lead McQueen to understand the importance of friendship and love, and that fame is not the most important thing in life.
During the Piston Cup tie-breaker - with his friends from Radiator Springs as his pit crew - McQueen is about to cross the finish line ahead of Hicks and the King, when he sees the King spin out of control , soar through the air, and flip violently (after being rammed violently by Chick Hicks). McQueen stops just before the finish line, which allows Hicks to to pass him and win the Cup. He helps the King cross the finish line in order allow the veteran racer to retire with dignity. McQueen gains a large measure of respect from the public, who soundly jeer Hicks for his blatant foul play in causing the King to crash. Although Dinoco offers him their endorsement, McQueen decides to stay with his original sponsor, Rust-eze, and moves his racing operations to Radiator Springs. Thanks to McQueen's endorsement, Radiator Springs sees a huge boost in tourism, and the town is saved. McQueen is named after Glenn McQueen, a Pixar animator who died in 2002.
Mack

'Mack' is a fictional anthropomorphic 1980s Mack Superliner truck, bearing license plate "RUSTEZ3", voiced by John Ratzenberger. A dedicated member of the Rust-eze Medicated Bumper Ointment Team, Mack pulls Lightning McQueen's trailer to his races. After McQueen's entire pit team quits, Mack remains as the rookie racer's only friend. McQueen exhorts Mack to drive through the night to his tiebreaker race with Chick Hicks and the King in Los Angeles, California, hoping to reach the venue first and to hang out with the Dinoco team. During the long drive, Mack falls asleep and falls victim to the Delinquent Road Hazards, a group of reckless street racers. The Delinquent Road Hazards knock Mack all over the road, causing his trailer door to swing open and dump a sleeping McQueen onto the road. When Mack wakes up, he is unaware that McQueen has got lost and has ended up in Radiator Springs. Eventually, Mack reaches Radiator Springs and, under threat of being fired by McQueen's agent, Harv, transports McQueen to Los Angeles. After the race, Mack moves to Radiator Springs with McQueen and is shown at Flo's Cafe in the short ''Mater and the Ghostlight'', as well as the video game based on the film.
McQueen's pit crew

'Lightning McQueen's pit crew' are generic forklifts who quit after McQueen didn't go to the pits for tires, which nearly costs him the first race in the movie. One of them, presumably the acting crew chief, since the official crew chief had recently been fired, is referred to by McQueen as "Chuck".
Harv

'Harv' is Lightning McQueen's agent. He is seen only once, briefly, on the telephone screen when he mentions that he didn't actually see the race finish to McQueen, and is heard only twice in the movie, when McQueen and Mack are en route to the tiebreaker race and when he and his team are at Radiator Springs, which is where he went crazy.
Rusty and Dusty Rust-eze

The 'Rust-eze Brothers', 'Rusty' and 'Dusty', are the spokescars for Rust-Eze, the team that sponsors Lightning. Rusty is a 1964 Dodge A100, and Dusty, a 1963 Dodge Dart. Rusty and Dusty are voiced by Tom and Ray Magliozzi (respectively) of NPR's ''Car Talk''. The '63 Dart bears an intentional resemblance to Ray Magliozzi's infamous green Dart, named "The Dartre". In a deleted scene shown on the DVD, these two would have had no association with Lightning McQueen other than a chance encounter at a truck stop, where Mack was allowed to stop briefly.
As McQueen is leaving, Rusty and Dusty say "Don't drive like my brother", and "And don't drive like ''my'' brother", the Magliozzi brothers' signature line for ending an episode of ''Car Talk''. Another homage to public radio occurs in their names; Rusty and Dusty are the names of two of three cowboys who have appeared in the ''A Prairie Home Companion'' segment "The Lives of the Cowboys" (the third, Lefty, appears to have replaced Rusty a long time ago).
==Dinoco Team ==
The King

'Strip Weathers "The King" ' is a Dinoco Blue veteran, anthropomorphic racecar voiced by Richard Petty. He is based on Richard Petty's 1970 Plymouth Superbird. He is one of the racecars in the 2005 Piston Cup three-way tie, along with Chick Hicks and Lightning McQueen. He is Dinoco's "Golden Boy," having won 7 Piston Cups (which is the same number of NASCAR championships that Richard Petty won). He tells Lightning McQueen that he would be nowhere without his team, but the rookie is more preoccupied with the thought of taking over the Dinoco sponsorship after the King's retirement.
In the tie-breaker race, on the very last lap, Hicks intentionally smashes into the King, saying, "I am not coming in behind you again, old man," sending the veteran flying through the air and flipping over numerous times before finally landing in the infield grass, badly beaten and dented. McQueen, about to win the race, brakes just before the finish line and turns to help the King, pushing him from behind to the finish line so he can finish his last race and retire with dignity. When the King realizes that McQueen gave up the Piston Cup to aid him, the young racer simply says that "this grumpy old race car I know once told me... it's just an empty cup."
Mrs. The King

'Mrs. The King', as Mater calls her, is The King's wife. She is voiced by Lynda Petty, who is Richard Petty's real-life wife. A 1974 Chrysler Town and Country station wagon, she is modeled after the car in which the Pettys drove themselves and their children to the races during the 1970s. During the races, she sits in a special VIP booth with Dinoco's sponsor Tex, cheering her husband on.
Tex

'Tex', voiced by Humpy Wheeler, is a gold 1975 Cadillac Coupe de Ville and owner of Dinoco. After the tie-breaker race, he offers Lightning McQueen the coveted Dinoco sponsorship, which McQueen politely declines in favor of staying with Rust-Eze, his current sponsor. Tex replies that he respects McQueen's decision, but if the young racer needs anything, he is free to ask. McQueen takes Tex up on his offer by arranging for Mater to have a ride in Dinoco's helicopter.
Pit Crew

The King's pit crew are unnamed generic forklifts with the Dinoco logo on the sides.
Helicopter

The helicopter is an unnamed transport model decorated with the Dinoco logo, as well as pictures of the King. Mater is shown riding in the helicopter towards the end of the film. It is revealed in the Cars Blu-ray game that the helicopter's name is Rotor Turbosky.
Trucks

The Dinoco trucks are unnamed generic 2005 Mack trucks.
Trailers

Two trailers are in the employ of the King; one is his transport, the other one is a stage/tent. Both trailers are decorated with the Dinoco logo and the King's racing number, 43.
Dinoco Girls

The Dinoco girls are models/showgirls for Dinoco who stand on the stage. They are Mazda Miatas with a single blue feather attached by a blue sequin.

Hostile Takeover Bank team

Chick Hicks

'Chick Hicks' (voiced by Michael Keaton) is an obnoxious green GM G platform (RWD), most likely a Buick Regal, that was popular in the 1980s. He has spent his entire career coming in behind 'The King' Strip Weathers, and is bitter about this fact. His number is 86 (as in eighty-sixed, a reference of firing someone). His front grill gives him the appearance of having a moustache, which is copied by his pit crew. Determined to do whatever it takes to win, he will often ram other cars in order to cause a wreck making them crash. He expects a huge ovation after he wins the Piston Cup, but is booed off the stage instead. In many ways, he represents what Lightning McQueen could have become.
Chick Hicks's Pit Crew

'Chick Hicks' pit crew' is a group of forklifts (all wearing false moustaches similar to Chick's) who mainly give gas and change tires for Chick, with a Dodge Ram pickup as the Crew Chief, providing important tactical information on the other racers (i.e., telling Chick that Lightning had blown a tire in the first race). They make fun of Guido before he demonstrates his lightning-fast tire changing, causing the forklifts to drop their false moustaches in disbelief, the largest of them only doing so when Guido says "Peet stop", one of his few English lines in the film. Their names are unknown. His trailer is briefly seen, and his driver is not seen at all.
==Radiator Springs Populace==
Mater

'Mater' (voiced by Larry The Cable Guy) is either a 1958 International Harvester tow truck, or a mid-'50s Chevrolet or GMC tow truck.. Along with the movie, he stars a short, Mater and the Ghostlight, and acts as an announcer in the ''Cars'' video game. He speaks with a thick Southern accent with a bit of hillbilly twang, and often misspells words or uses incorrect syntax. Mater is also the self-proclaimed world champion backwards driver. He attributes his skill to his rear-view mirrors and his own philosophy: "Don't need to see where you're going, just need to see where you've been". In the movie, Mater befriends and supports Lightning all throughout his adventure in Radiator Springs.
His color was originally baby blue as shown in a flashback, however over the years, he has rusted into a patchwork light brown/orange color, with some of the blue still showing through. He is missing his hood and has only a single headlight (his right). His license plate number is A113. His final personality was based on his voice actor, Larry the Cable Guy, and he uses many of Larry's catchphrases, including "Git-R-Done" during the final race sequence and "I don't care who you are; that's funny right there" during the tractor tipping scene, among others.
Real life replicas of Mater and Lightning at Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA and Disney's MGM Studios of Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
Doc Hudson

'Doctor Hudson Hornet' (better known as "'Doc Hudson'" or simply '"Doc"') is voiced by actor Paul Newman. His license plate reads 51HHMD. Doc, once known as the Fabulous Hudson Hornet (#51), was once one of the most famous racecars to have ever lived, holding three Piston Cup titles and the record for most wins in a single season -- a record that remains unbroken at the time of the film -- 27. All that changed for the famous Hornet when a terrible crash on the track at the qualifying race in 1954 saw him put out for the season. Upon his return, he was received with a complete absence of fanfare and told that he was a has-been who had been passed up for the next rookie in line. Keeping a picture of the wreck that ended his career from an old newspaper, he uses it as a reminder to never return to the life that nearly destroyed him.
Jaded by the racing scene, he left that world, apparently taking out time to study medicine. The famous #51 disappeared into obscurity, leaving many wondering where he had gone. He instead opted for a simple navy blue paint job and the life of a doctor in the tiny town of Radiator Springs, the "shining jewel" of the mother road - Route 66. He runs Doc's clinic. As times changed and the town got bypassed in favor of Interstate 40, Doc stayed on, even when the population had dwindled to a meager dozen or so residents. He is respected, well-loved, and serves not only as the town's physician, but as its judge, as well. After meeting the young hot shot Lightning McQueen, Doc found himself seeing far too much of himself in the #95 rookie. Doc called the news and press who rushed over in droves and took McQueen on to the Piston Cup. Seeing how disheartened everyone was, Doc took back his old #51 colors to become the young racer's pit crew chief. By the end of the film, Doc has opted to keep his racing colors and becomes a trainer as well as crew chief to the young McQueen. He is seen training with McQueen in "Willys Butte" in the ending scene of the film, after tricking McQueen to stop near a cactus patch, he jumps out shouting "Not all of my tricks rookie!".
Sally

'Sally Carrera' (voiced by Bonnie Hunt) is a baby blue 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera, her license plate number is 301PCE. She also appears in the ''Cars'' video game in which she is a playable character. Sally, Lightning McQueen's love interest, is the town attorney of Radiator Springs. She came to the town several years before when, in her own words, "I never felt... happy. One day I just drove and drove, and finally broke down right here. Doc fixed me up, Flo took me in... well, they all did. And I never left." Sally then fell in love with the town, and the land around it, and never left. Sally ran the Cozy Cone Motel. Later, she and Lightning reopened the Wheel Well. In the UK cars magazine ''Top Gear'', Sally was included in the magazine's list of the 10 sexiest cars in the World.[1]
The use of a "Porsche" may be a pun on the character "Portia" from 'The Merchant of Venice' - who also acts as a lawyer in a trial scene.
Luigi

'Luigi' (voiced by Tony Shalhoub) is a 1959 Fiat 500, a Ferrari fan, and has followed racing his entire life. His license plate reads 445-108, which is latitude and longitude for the main Ferrari factory in Modena. Luigi owns a tire shop, Casa Della Tires, which is known for its "Leaning Tower of Tires", which looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. His assistant is an Italian forklift named Guido. Inside his shop are many framed pictures of Ferrari World Sportscar Championship endurance racers from various points in history. He and Guido do not respect Lightning McQueen when he came to Radiator Springs, because he was not a Ferrari and claimed to not know any. At the end of the film Michael Schumacher a Ferrari race car, and two Maserati Quattroporte appear at Luigi and Guido's store stating Lightning said it was the best place to buy tires. Shocked that a real Ferrari is right in front of him, he says "A REAL FERRARI!!" before he faints.
For the Italian version of the film, Luigi was voiced by comedian Marco Della Noce; one of Della Noce's most popular characters was "Oriano Ferrari", a parody character meant to represent the leader of Ferrari's pit stop crew..
Guido

'Guido' (voiced by Guido Quaroni) is a forklift, who works at Luigi's Casa Della Tires, and is Luigi's best friend. The only language Guido can speak and understand fluently is Italian. Though he appears to understands English, and even speaks a few phrases, including "Pit stop" but pronounced "Peet Stop!". His dream is to perform a pit stop for a real race car. Near the end of the movie, as a Lighnings' pit crew, he performed the fastest pit stop in Piston Cup history, at four seconds.
In order to preserve the "language barrier" gags between Guido and the other characters in the Italian dub, his lines (and the other cars' lines in Italian) have been rendered in the regional dialect of Italian spoken in the town of Modena, home of the Ferrari car manufacturer and racing team. Coincidentally, or as a pun by the authors, the name "Guido" is a perfect homonym for the Italian inflected verb meaning "I drive".
Like Luigi he faints upon meeting a Michael Schumacher Ferrari but only after Schumacher talks to him in Italian.
Ramone

'Ramone' (voiced by Cheech Marin) is a 1959 Chevy Impala lowrider who owns the Ramone's Paint and Body Art store, where he paints himself and other cars, including Lightning McQueen later in the film. His license plate reads "L0 N SL0", which is a reference to his catchphrase, "low and slow". He is married to Flo, whose restaurant is next door to his store. Ramone is usually depicted purple with a yellow and orange flame job, but throughout the film he changes his paint job every morning to keep his skills sharp. This situation changes after Radiator Springs becomes vibrant again.
In a deleted scene, the only customer Ramone has refused to paint was his future wife Flo. When she asked him, "Whassamatta, you too good to paint me?" he promptly and smoothly replies, "No way, you too good for me to paint," and saying that he couldn't paint a classic. That was how Ramone and Flo fell in love.
Ramone is the third Disney character to be voiced by Cheech Marin, the other two being Tito the chihuahua from Oliver & Company and Banzai the hyena from The Lion King.
Flo

'Flo' (voiced by Jenifer Lewis) is a car who owns Radiator Springs' only gas diner, "Flo's V-8 Café" and is married to Ramone, the town's body artist. Her license plate reads "SHOGRL", the same as the license plates applied to many Motorama show cars, and an obvious pun on the term "showgirl". According to a deleted scene, she is a Motorama showcar and came to Radiator Springs during a national tour.
Sheriff

'Sheriff' (voiced by Michael Wallis) is a 1949 Mercury Police Cruiser, bearing Carburetor County license plate '001'. Sheriff is painted in the classic law enforcement black and white, with a single red beacon, two sirens, and curb feelers. Sheriff was the first Radiator Springs resident to appear in the film and was also the first to meet Lightning McQueen during a police chase when McQueen was speeding through the town, trying to find Mack. He later befriends Lightning McQueen, even offering to give him a police escort to California, and joins his pit crew for the championship race.
Fillmore

'Fillmore' (voiced by George Carlin) is a Volkswagen Type 2. Fillmore's license plate reads "51237", which stands for May 12, 1937, the birthdate of George Carlin. He is a stereotypical hippie, with his license plate positioned to resemble a soul patch. He owns an organic fuel shop which features several flavors. In fact, he trusts in organic fuel so much that he believes gasoline companies are lying to the public (which is quite reminiscent of health advocate Kevin Trudeau's beliefs). In the morning, when Sarge, who lives next door, plays Reveille and raises the American flag, Fillmore interrupts Sarge's song with Jimi Hendrix's rendition of ''The Star-Spangled Banner''. This is much to Sarge's irritation, as he shouts at Fillmore; "Will you turn that disrespectful junk off?!" to that Fillmore says "Respect the classics man, it's Hendrix." Despite this, he is friends with Sarge, and the two can be seen chatting throughout the film.
Sarge

'Sarge Armyson' (voiced by Paul Dooley) is a Willys jeep. A veteran with a military green paint job and a slightly stylized Sergeant Major (E-9) insignia on his sides, he appears to be a cross between a Willys MB and a Willys CJ-2A. He runs a surplus store, named "'Sarge's Surplus Hut'", next door to Fillmore. At the end of the film, he runs an SUV boot camp, called "'Sarge's SUV Boot Camp'", where he is briefly seen bickering with a poser Hummer H1 that has never actually been off-road. Sarge's license plate number is "41WW2", a reference to World War II, which the US entered in 1941.
Lizzie

'Lizzie' (voiced by Katherine Helmond),a 1923 Ford Model T is the widow of Radiator Springs' founder, Stanley, and the elderly owner of a roadside souvenir and accessory shop. Her license plate, "MT23", references her model and year. She appears to have has gone a little bit senile, and has a crush on Lightning McQueen.
The name "Lizzie" is a reference to "Tin Lizzie", the popular nickname of the Model T.
Red

'Red' (voiced by Joe Ranft, a Pixar animator), sometimes called Big Red, is a mid-1960s Pirsch fire engine, bearing Carburetor County license plate '002'. He is shy and emotional, often bursting into tears and hiding. He spends most of his time watering his flowers and washing things, such as the statue of Stanley next to his fire station.
===Stanley===
'Stanley' is Lizzie's late husband and was the founder of Radiator Springs. A statue of Stanley stands outside the fire station. Although deceased, he continues to exert an influence on the town, particularly over Lizzie, who often talks to him. Stanley appears to have been a Stanley Steamer (an early steam-powered car)
Frank

'Frank' is a Kubota orange combine harvester that resembles a bull, and the guardian of the tractors. After Lightning McQueen's first encounter with Frank, Lightning has a nightmare that he, The King, and Chick Hicks are beaten by Frank in the tie-breaker race, with Chick not even surviving the race (Frank catches him, shreds him, and expels his remains from his straw chute).
The Tractors

The 'tractors' (resembling cows) appear when Mater and Lightning go tractor tipping (similar to cow tipping), and also in a stampede through the middle of town, likely provoked by Mater's antics. They also appear in the nightmare McQueen has about Frank winning the Piston Cup, wherein Lightning is surrounded by the tractors, one of which licks him. According to Mater, they are quite dumb. They are American 1950s Chew all tractors, a pun on the real-life Farmall brand of farm machinery. They can also be seen in the background during the epilogue, when the cars are watching films at the theater.

Other Cars

Darrell Cartrip

'Darrell Cartrip' is an announcer at the Piston Cup races. He is a 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and a former Piston Cup Racer. His name is a play on Darrell Waltrip, who provides the character's voice. Cartrip utters "Boogity boogity boogity!" as the tiebreaker race starts; the real-life Waltrip is also known to use the phrase at the start of every NASCAR race. Cartrip appears in the ''Cars'' video game as the sole announcer; he is also a playable character in the Piston Cup VS. and Arcade mode.
Bob Cutlass

'Bob Cutlass' is an announcer at the Piston Cup races and friend of Darrell Cartrip. He is voiced by Bob Costas, the renowned NBC sportscaster and journalist and his name, like Darrell Cartrip's, is a play on that of his voice actor. Although the character's name is a reference to the Oldsmobile Cutlass, Cutlass is actually shown to be an Oldsmobile Aurora. Bob Cutlass does not appear in the video game.
Marco

'Marco' (voiced by Phil Lorin) is a 2002 Ford Expedition SUV security vehicle who appears before the tie-breaker race. He refuses to let Fred in without a garage pass, even after Mario Andretti 'recognizes' Fred by reading his license plate name tag. Marco is one of several SUVs that work security for the Piston Cup events.
Mia and Tia

'Mia', (voiced by Lindsay Collins), and 'Tia', (voiced by Elissa Knight), are identical twin Mazda Miata sisters who are Lightning McQueen's self-proclaimed biggest fans. They are, however, quite fickle; after McQueen's disappearance, the twins suddenly become ardent fans of Chick Hicks. By the end of the movie, they are McQueen's fans once more, turning against Hicks after he deliberately caused Strip Weathers "The King" to crash in the tie-breaker race. Mia and Tia eventually moved to Radiator Springs and work as waitresses at Flo's V8 Cafe. In a deleted scene on the ''Cars'' DVD, the twins were waitresses at a truck stop that McQueen stopped at.
Fred

'Fred' (voiced by Andrew Stanton) appears to be a 1980s Lada 2107. He appears as one of the many fans in the Rust-eze tent at the beginning of the movie, at the beginning of the final race and during the credits. A running gag in the movie is that whenever he gets excited, his front bumper falls off. Another running gag is that he appears to be unaware that his license plate reads "Hellomynameis" and then underneath, "FRED", and is thrilled beyond belief when McQueen and then later, Mario Andretti address him by name.
Van and Minny

'Van' (voiced by Richard Kind) and 'Minny' (voiced by Edie McClurg with a Minnesota accent) are husband and wife. They are lost and pass through Radiator Springs while trying to find their way back to Interstate 40. Van refuses to ask directions, claiming not to need them due to having a GPS system, and both of them are equipped with car alarms, which they arm after their encounter with Lightning McQueen when he begs them to call for help. After the end of the credits, we find out that Van and Minny have ended up somewhere lost in the desert, having not asked for directions, and Van has almost been driven insane. Their names combined is a pun on "minivan". Van appears to be a 2006 Saturn Relay and Minny is a 2000 Dodge Caravan or late 90's Ford Windstar.
The Delinquent Road Hazards

The Delinquent Road Hazards are a group of four Street Racers that cause trouble on the roads. The four of them cause Mack to falter, sending McQueen out of his trailer. They return in the Cars video game to cause trouble once again. The members include Boost (voiced by Jonas Rivera), the leader; DJ (voiced by E.J. Holowicki), who uses loud speakers; Wingo (voiced by Adrian Ochoa), a Japanese right-hand drive car; and Snot Rod (voiced by Lou Romano), who shoots flames out of his exhaust pipes when he sneezes. DJ looks like a customized Scion xB. Boost could be a Nissan Skyline. Wingo is probably a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Snot Rod is a Dodge Charger RT, in Vitamin C Orange gloss paint.
Pixar cameos

Various characters from other Pixar films cameo during the final credits. They appear as car versions of themselves onscreen at a drive-in movie theater. These include Woody (as a Sheriff Woody station wagon), Buzz, and Hamm from Toy Story, Mike Wazowski, Sulley, and the Abominable Snowman from Monsters, Inc, and Flik, P.T. Flea, and the circus bugs from A Bug's Life. Since these are all films which John Ratzenberger played supporting roles in, his Cars character "Mack" could be seen commenting that he was "impressive" as a voice actor.
An anthropormophic version of the Pizza Planet "Yo" pickup truck from the Toy Story movies can be seen in the crowd just prior to the final race.
The birds from "For the Birds" can be seen at the 23:00 minute mark as Mack drives past them. They are not car versions, but the birds used in the short.
During one of the race sequences, one of the cars on the track appears in white paint, decorated with the Apple Computer logo and #84. These make reference to Apple's involvement with Pixar and the year (1984) in which Apple introduced the Macintosh computers used in creating Pixar's animations. The Blu-ray car finder game revealed the Apple cars name, it is Matthew Overtaker.
Vinyl Toupee #76

'Vinyl Toupee', a Piston Cup racer, is purple with a black top and is number 76. His sponsor, Vinyl Toupee, has stickers saying,"Vinyl top in a can!" and "She'll never notice!" He can be seen spinning behind the red No Stall car and the yellow Leak Less car piled up on top of each other, and in front of Chick in the pits. He is absent in the ''Cars'' video game.
Leak Less #52 (Hollister)

'Leak Less' is a yellow-and-black Piston Cup race car. He appears to be a 1980s-style Chevrolet Monte Carlo. In the Dinoco 400, he gets involved in the big crash by smashing into No Stall and flipping onto his roof. He is sponsored by Leak Less Adult Drip Pans. He has stickers on his back bumper that say,"Watch your wheels!" In the video game, his last name is Hollister. In the video game, he is #128.
Tow Cap #4 (Clarkson)

'Tow Cap', another racer, is a Pontiac Grand Prix who is seen in the movie next to the blue Gasprin car while Lightning McQueen is driving with his tire on the wall to get around them. His number is 4 and sponsor slogans say,"For the one Night Hitch" and "Hitch Protector". He is purple, white, and yellow. In the video game, his last name is Clarkson.
Winford Bradford Rutherford #64

'Winford Bradford Rutherford', or "Riley" in the video game, is a yellow, orange, and blue Piston Cup race car who can be seen challenging for second place before Chick punts him into the wall to start the big pileup. He can also be seen when he is getting a drink in the pits from "Petrol" Pulaski, a forklift in his pit crew. He is #64, but is #84 in the video game. His sponsor is RPM Nighttime Backfire Suppressant.
No Stall #123 (Masterson)

'No Stall #123' is a red Ford Taurus Piston Cup car with checkered stripes. In the Dinoco 400, he crashes into Hollister, who flips on top of him. His last name is Masterson in the video game.
Darren Leadfoot #82

'Darren Leadfoot' is a yellow and green striped Piston Cup race car that wears the number 82. He is sponsored by Shiny Wax and is seen second to last in a pack of cars right before the motorhomes and the pit stops.
Dale Earnhardt Jr

Dale Earnhardt Jr., often referred to as "Junior" is also a Piston Cup race car. He is voiced by Dale Earnhardt Jr, and therefore looks exactly like Dale Jr's #8 NASCAR car. He has Dale Earnhardt Inc. logos on him.
Mario Andretti

Mario Andretti voices a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 stock car which makes a cameo appearance before the Piston Cup tie-breaker race. His "persona" is painted blue and gold with the number "11," and replicates the car in which Mario won the 1967 Daytona 500.
