LINDA VISTA HOSPITAL

'Linda Vista Hospital' is a former hospital in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of East Los Angeles, California, USA. Originally the Santa Fe Railroad Hospital, the hospital was constructed for railroad employees in 1938. It is rumored that Howard Hughes would visit the hospital during his time in Los Angeles, occuping the entire top floor of the hospital by himself during his stays.
The hospital ceased operation as a medical facility in 1990. Since that time, it has been used primarily as a filming location. Notable movies shot on location at Linda Vista include Outbreak, End of Days, Pearl Harbor, and the pilot for ER.
Currently, the hospital it is being redeveloped for use as mid-income condominiums.
The hospital was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in January 2006. It is located at 610 S. St. Louis Street, Los Angeles, California.
