This is a 'list of the 10 tallest buildings in Ottawa-Gatineau' (Canada's National Capital Region). There are zoning controls in downtown Ottawa to ensure that buildings are not taller than 45.5 metres (150 feet) so that the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill at 92.2 metres can dominate the skyline as it is viewed from the Ottawa River. However, rules have been exceeded on some occasions to allow for taller buildings.
