![]() | The Sheep Separated from the Flock is Eaten by the Wolf This was an assignment in my computer animation class. The requirement was to illustrate a linear narrative based on a proverb, and to keep it from becoming too literal. Out of a list of optional proverbs, I chose the Turkish proverb, "The sheep separated from the flock is eaten by the wolf," because I immediately had a werewolf idea and how to execute it. Though I had to change my initial approach halfway through, I am happy with this animation in general, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it here in the first place. Special thanks to the cast: Ethan, kAt, Tasty, Matt, and Frankie. |

![]() | The Dangers of Trans Fats, (partially) hydrogenated oils Trans fats (trans fatty acids) are artificially produced fats that are very bad for your health. The consumption of trans fats is the main cause for the present day obesity epidemic. Trans fats are used in thousands of food products. The health risks of trans fats are obesity, cancer, clogging of the arteries, birth defects, diabetes, high cholesterol, hart disease, allergies in children, etc. When you eat normal fats, the body metabolizes half of them in 18 days. When you eat trans fats the body requires 51 days to metabolize half of them. This means that half of the trans fats you eat today will still be inhibiting essential enzyme systems in your body 51 days from now! No wonder obesity is such a problem. The food industry uses hydrogenated (or partially hydrogenated) oils because it increases the shelf life of food products. There is less spoilage, less loss and subsequently more profit! In addition, products with trans fat tend to taste very good. Trans fats are used in fast food, chips, baked goods, french fries, etc. Trans fats are produced in factories through the hydrogenation of fluid vegetable oils such as sunflower oil, soybean oil, etc. During this chemical process hydrogen molecules are added to the oil molecules. Through the hydrogenation oils become solid as in margarine. Food products contain trans fat if they include any of the following ingredients: hydrogenated oil, partially hydrogenated oil, hydrogenated fat, partially hydrogenated fat, shortening, margarine. Butter contains a small amount of natural trans fat, but in small quantities this is not harmful. Consumers have repeatedly been warned about the health effects of saturated fats, especially saturated animal fats which are not healthy. Trans fats however are much worse. The best oil for frying and cooking is coconut oil because it remains very stable under high temperatures and does not break down into carcogenic compounds, as unsaturated oils like olive oil do. Coconut remains stable because it has a very high content of saturated oils. Not all saturated oils are bad for you even though that is what the food industry and the main stream media have been telling you all these years. Tips for lowering your Trans Fat intake: 1. Choose liquid vegetable oils, or choose a soft tub margarine that contains little or no trans fats. 2. Avoid eating commercially prepared baked foods such as cookies, pies, donuts, snack foods and processed foods, including fast foods. To be on the safe side, assume that all such products contain trans fats unless they are labeled otherwise. 3. When foods containing partially hydrogenated oils can't be avoided, choose products that list the partially hydrogenated oils near the end of the ingredient list. 4. To avoid trans fats in restaurants, stay away from desserts and deep-fried foods, as many restaurants still use partially hydrogenated oils in their fryers. Do you want to lose weight and improve your health? Do your self a big favor and remove this chemical out of your diet! "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." ![]() | ( part 1 ) Anti-Mormon talks. Why are people anti-Mormon The accusation continues to come about about how people are anti-Mormon. Is it a bad thing to be against Mormonism? Being against something doesn't mean that you hate that something. It is not wrong to be "anti" or "against" something. Is it wrong to be "anti-sin"? Is it wrong to be "anti-bacterial"? Is it wrong to be "anti-murder"? Is it wrong to be "anti-terrorist"? The list goes on. Mormonism professes some very "anti-Christian" or "anti-Christianity" statements from their prophets and apostles. My question is, why is it right from LDS to be against Christian principles such as the Trinity theory of a triune God. Or principles of Jesus alone holding the priesthood. But if Christians are against LDS principles, that is some how wrong? http://behindzioncurtain.com/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=391 |
![]() | The Good Test Most men will proclaim each his own goodness. In fact, Proverbs 21:2 declares "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Though most people believe they are heaven bound, what exactly is heaven's standard for good, moral, and righteous? Who is righteous enough to enter? God has not left us in the dark -- His Law (the Ten Commandants) reveals the standard we must meet. In fact, we are told that the Law of the Lord is perfect, holy, just, and good. God has even revealed His Law to every human heart (Romans 2:15). Nevertheless, the law cannot save us: "...by the deeds of the law there shall be no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" (Romans 3:20). This concise video questions dozens of people and illuminates their "goodness" from God's perspective. With powerful animations and convicting visuals, The Good Test uncovers humanity's heart condition. Most importantly, it makes known the awesome hope that is available to all. How will you stack up on Judgment Day? Take The Good Test and decide for yourself. jtetlow1@rochester.rr.com. 877-370-7770 Quotes by Evolutionary Scientists Against Evolution - http://www.warneveryone.com/evolution_scientists_quotes.htm Live broadcasting with instant message 24/7, free downloads, Ipod, and dial up - http://www.warneveryonestudios.com KJV1611 Bible - http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=authorizedversion&search=Search Brothers and sisters, my son's ministry at http://www.warneveryonestudios.com has been featured on the front page of stick.com and the more members that watch the higher up the programs go on the list.
