LITTLE THEATRE (JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA)
The 'Little Theatre' (now known as 'Theatre Jacksonville') is a historic U.S. theater in Jacksonville, Florida. It is located at 2032 San Marco Boulevard. On July 12, 1991, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Currently in its 87th consecutive season, it is one of the oldest continually producing community theatres in the United States . The former "Little Theatre" is a volunteer-based organization whose stated mission is:
''to create opportunities for community participation in theatre arts.''
The theatre puts on numerous productions throughout the year and runs a children's summer camp called Camp Theatre Jacksonville every summer.
