'Ljubomir Ljubojević' is a Grandmaster of chess. He was born on November 2 1950 in Užice, Serbia. He was awarded the IM title in 1970 and the GM title in 1971. He was Yugoslav champion in 1977 (jointly) and 1982. In 1983 he was ranked third in the Elo rating list,[1] but he never succeeded in reaching the Candidates Tournament stage of the World Championship. He has defeated almost every top grandmaster, including world champions Garry Kasparov and Anatoly Karpov. He plays for Serbia, but is currently living in Spain.
