LLANGYFELACH
'Llangyfelach' is the name of an electoral ward, a community and a village in the county of Swansea, South Wales. The community has its own elected community council.
The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following areas: Llangyfelach, Pantlasau, Pontlliw, Tircoed and Treboeth, in the parliamentary constituency of Gower. The ward is bounded by Pontarddulais and Mawr to the north; Morriston, Mynydd-Bach and Penderry to the south east; and Penyrheol and Penllergaer to the south west.

Llangyfelach village
The village of 'Llangyfelach' is located about 4 miles north of Swansea centre, just west of Morriston Town. To the west is open moorland. Bordering the village to the north is the M4 motorway with a junction named after the village. The village has its own primary school and football club. At the centre of the village is the Parish Church of St David and Cyfelach. The site dates back to the 6th Century and St. David the Patron Saint of Wales founded an early Celtic monastery there. The present church has a 12th Century detached tower and a converted tithe barn as the present church. Contained with in the church is the Llangyfelach Cross a 9th Century Celtic stone.
