LONG ROCK

'Long Rock' is village in Cornwall, UK. Long Rock currently falls within the parish boundaries of Ludgvan and is situated about 2 miles from the town of Penzance. Long Rock is also the home to a number of large industrial parks and retail developments which serve nearby Penzance.
Long Rock also has a large beach which is suitable for families, and dog owners, as a section of the beach is dog-friendly. The playing field situated behind Trescoe Road is in a sorry state of repair.However Penwith District Council decided to build an 'amenity area', rather than giving money to the playing field association for essential repairs. Many of the residents felt this decision was slightly bizzare, as a village the size of Long Rock does not need 2 public open spaces, and surely it makes sense to upgrade existing facilities!
There is a hotel in Long Rock (The Mount View Hotel), also a shop, a post office, and there are buses into Penzance (the nearest town) every 10 minutes. There is also ample car parking space, and many cycle paths nearby.
