LONGBRIDGE RAILWAY STATION
'Longbridge railway station' serves the Longbridge area in the south-west of Birmingham, England. It is on the Cross City Line. The station and all trains calling there are operated by Central Trains.

History
The current station, on Tessall Lane, was built in 1978, as part of the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive's Cross-City Line scheme, at a cost of around £300,000. An earlier Longbridge station had existed nearby, on the Halesowen Railway's branch to Old Hill.
Services
During Monday-Saturday daytimes, trains operate every 10 minutes between Longbridge and Birmingham New Street. Every 30 minutes, these trains start from Redditch. Most trains continue beyond Birmingham New Street to Four Oaks, and many on to Lichfield. On Sundays, trains operate every 30 minutes.
Services are operated by Class 323 electric multiple units.
