LOOMER ROAD STADIUM
'Loomer Road Stadium' is a sports stadium situated in Chesterton, Staffordshire. Today, it hosts mainly Motorcycle speedway, but in the past it has been the venue for Greyhound racing. Recently, there have been calls for a return of this to the stadium, but as yet, there have been no plans put in place.
The building has considerable parking facilities, covered terracing and a bar with a view of the track. It currently has a capacity of 5,000.
The main function of the stadium is as the home stadium of 2 speedway teams; the Stoke Potters and the Stoke Spitfires, who race on Saturdays and Wednesdays respectively. In addition to this, the ground also hosts various events such as firework displays and occasional shows.
