LORO PICENO

'Loro Piceno' is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Macerata in the Italian region Marche, located about 50 km south of Ancona and about 15 km south of Macerata. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,501 and an area of 32.5 km².^[1]
The municipality of Loro Piceno contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) San Valentino, San Lorenzo, and Varco.
Loro Piceno borders the following municipalities: Colmurano, Massa Fermana, Mogliano, Montappone, Petriolo, Ripe San Ginesio, Sant'Angelo in Pontano, Urbisaglia.
