M-68 (MICHIGAN HIGHWAY)
'M-68' is an east-west state highway located in the northern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The western terminus of the highway begins just four miles east of the Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan and ends at Rogers City a few blocks from Lake Huron. Prior to its current western end at Alanson, M-68 used to travel concurrently with US 31 to Petoskey. The concurrency was later dropped for unknown reasons.
M-68 skirts just south of Indian River and Burt Lake, part of the Inland Waterway that allows boats to travel from Crooked Lake near Little Traverse Bay to Cheboygan on Lake Huron
