'Maggie Roswell' (born 'Mary Margaret Nena Roswell' on November 14 1952, Los Angeles, California) is an American voice actress. She is best known for her voice work on ''The Simpsons'' where she depicted the characters of Maude Flanders, Helen Lovejoy, Miss Hoover, and Luann Van Houten among others.
After the 1999 season, she did not re-appear until the 2002 season due to a pay dispute. During this time, she was replaced by Marcia Mitzman Gaven.
She married fellow voice actor Hal Rayle on June 05, 1987 in Aspen, Pitkin County, Colorado. Their daughter, Spenser Freeland Rayle, was born on June 20, 1993. The couple own a voice recording studio in Denver, CO [1] Her brother is movie music supervisor G. Marq Roswell [2]
Roswell received a 1997 Annie nomination, ''Best Individual Achievement: Voice Acting by a Female Performer in a TV Production'', for the role of the ill-fated Sherry Bobbins
